2013-04-23 05:54:22 This place is awesome! Over the last month I've checked it out three different times at three different times of day. I've had different bartenders and waiters each time and each and every time they have been the exemplary model of what customer service should be in the restaurant/bar business. They go out of their way to acknowlede every customer immediately. And even if they are busy, they make the customer feel important and that they are getting the best service they can provide. And they in fact are! Now on to the food: Exceptional! Try the cajun shrimp or callamari. Bot are fantastic and there is a brussel sprout / avacodo taco that is to die for. I know...sounds wierd but damn...it is awesome! Everything that I've seen come out of their kitchen makes me want to come back. They have a great beer selection. I have not checked out the wine list but I will. This is my new favorite casual place to eat in Sonoma county! Oh..and they have live music from time to time on the weekends too! All around, this is a great place to grab a bite, a beer and hang. Very comfortable!

Enjoyed our meal here at this restaurant. We've come many times for happy hour but this was the first time I had been there for dinner. Owen was a great server and very attentive. We will definitely be back to our other things on the menu!

So we went here for our first time today and may I say we were HIGHLY PLEASED. Down in Southern Petaluma off Lakeside Hwy it's a charm. Their menu is simple yet rich, something for every palette & dining need. Our server was Lisa who was a gem! We were able to sit outside (we had our dog) and the beer garden was so cute. Lisa even got us a bowl of ice water for our pup (was a hot day) which we appreciated. My husband and I split 3 items and THEY WERE INCREDIBLE. I found myself just staring into the hops foliage swaying in the breezes as the flavor harmonies danced on my tongue. We had the crispy pork belly (after eating one we ordered one to go too!!), the poké tacos and the Cowgirl Burger... Pictures are included. We agreed we can't wait to come back and eat our way through the menu! We will see you again very soon! (I would have put 4.5 stars but Yelp doesn't do that) CHEERS! *** Nect day!*** Went back the next day and ordered the crispy pork belly (AGAIN!) as well as the pork belly burger with sweet potato fries w chipotle aioli. To be honest, we assumed the burger was going to be pork belly not beef (shame on us for not reading and assuming lol), we kinda were hoping for that but STILL it was so juicy and good. Cowgirl burger was better though. My hubby really really enjoyed their sweet potato fries. We sat at the bar and there was little to no conversation with the bartender.

Great happy hour deals on food and drinks! The calamari was so crispy and delicious with the tomato sauce. The service was fast and friendly with a cute little outdoor area, perfect for the summer weather that has finally arrived.

We've been coming to Pub Republic for years and it was a reliable choice for family nights and out of town guests alike. Unfortunately, there were a couple years post-Covid where we felt the service and food quality drop (particularly in our old favorites like an over cooked burger or a soggy fish and chips). So we stopped for a while. I'm delighted to report that THEY'RE BACK!! My understanding is that they're going through a change in ownership -- most of our favorites are still on the menu, restored to their previous glory. And there are some new options that were super tasty as well. -- burgers were excellent, well-cooked -- beet and goat cheese salad was fresh and well-balanced -- fish and chips was crispy, fish tender, well seasoned -- I loved the red snapper ceviche tostada. Loved it! I felt like I was in Mexico. -- asparagus soup was yummy Excited to see what else they enhance!

I came into Pub Republic for a quick bite after a morning of wine tasting, and it did not disappoint. The inside had a lot of natural light, and I really enjoyed the ambiance. The outdoor seating also looked rather pleasant! I started with the ginger peach mimosa, which is delicious of you really like ginger. The hint of peach was minimal, and personally I loved it! The rest of my party did not. We ordered a two baskets of their nachos and they were incredible. The chips were house made potato chips, topped with a chipotle sour cream as well as other toppings. A friend ordered the burger to split, and while I did not have any it looked pretty good. I did find that the fries were a little bland but they weren't bad. There are lots of good options here and I do plan on returning in the spring to try the outdoor seating!

Nearly done with exploring sites around Sonoma and Santa Rosa, Pub Republic was snack time and a beer. Early afternoon and the Sunday brunch menu was wrapping up so we just got drinks and split a "to share." Good service though she disappeared after serving our food. Another drink would have been possible but by the time she returned, we were indeed ready to go. The "Crispy Pork Belly" was delicious. One-inch cubes of pork belly (basically bacon) with a carrot ginger puree, roasted shallots, pickled onion and jalapeno with an orange chili sauce. Nicely presented but I really wonder why they put five on the plate instead of four or six. How do you properly share five of something? Lots of other good options here - tacos, salads, burgers and higher end pub food. Not cheap but what is in California? [Review 21015 overall - 531 in California - round number 2000 of 2023.]
